Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine region near the town of Elkhart Lake lies one of America’s racing gems. Sprawls over 640 acres that truly resembles a national park, this is Road America – the absolute best permanent road racing circuit in North America.
Road America opened in 1955. It is the longest road racing track at 4 miles. Winding through the Wisconsin forrest with several elevation changes, Road America affords many great spectator vantage points. The food stands available throughout the track are staffed by various local charitable organizations and offer some tasty treats like bratwurst and roasted sweet corn.
There is something for everyone at RA. The various racing series offer great competition and the park-like setting is great for just taking in the beautiful surroundings. Not to mention you can satisfy your hiking needs by visiting the various spectator viewing areas throughout the facility. Road America – Highly recommended!
